GENERAL 1. Councilman Rhodes reported that he had attended the League of California Cities Legislative Conference in Sacramento, May 23 -25, 1983 and learned that the Governor is appointing a task force to make recommendations to place cities on a financially stable basis and is attempting to have a sales tax increase adopted which will also benefit cities. 2. Councilman Mosher announced that a City Council vs. Park and Recreation Commission benefit softball game will be played at Hawes Park at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, July 23 with receipts going to the Child Care Program at the Peninsula Youth Center and the Recreation Department's summer youth program. Tickets are $2.00 for adults and $1.00 for children. 3. Mayor Stangel announced that the next Council of Mayors meeting will be in Redwood City at the Floodlite Restaurant on Friday, June 24. All Council members indicated they plan to attend. Library Board Anita Leplin 0 Walter R. Robinson, Jr. 7 Sibyl Schutz 7 CONSENSUS: Mayor Stangel determined it to be the consensus of Council that the incumbent, Walter R.
