Item No. 2 (continued) <br />Robert Moore, 596 Teredo Drive, objected to the proposed division of <br />property among adjacent property owners of the public service easement <br />property, stating he would receive less than some of his neighbors. <br />Director of Public Works Addiego reported that the vacation was proposed <br />by neighbors of the easement property because of its poorly maintained <br />condition, and the lot lines were simply extended logically to the <br />boundaries. Mr. Addiego also reported he has learned that Redwood Shores <br />Inc. has underlying fee to the easement property and not the adjacent <br />property owners. <br />City Attorney Schricker stated that since Redwood Shores Inc. has fee, the <br />property owners have no claim on the subject property. <br />Discussion followed concerning whether it is appropriate to bring the <br />matter to Council for consideration at this time. <br />Bill McDonald, 597 Teredo, said that the condition of the property is of <br />concern to neighbors who have lived there for some time and plan to <br />continue there, but it is silly to argue about the division of the <br />property. <br />Larry Lockran, 595 Teredo, reported he would receive the largest benefit <br />according to the proposed plan, but has no wish to acquire it except to <br />clean it up and prevent its being a public nuisance and eyesore, since his <br />home's view windows are directed toward it. <br />CONSENSUS: Mayor Stangel determined it to be the consensus of Council to <br />refer the matter to staff for review particularly with regard to ownership <br />and apparent trespassing and nuisance problems. (memo 7/12/83) <br />Gene Masciarelli, Redwood Shores Inc., reported he acquired the property <br />for his company which has no plans for its use, stating he will discuss <br />the matter with staff. <br />3.
