approves, or the developer will enter into an agreement with the City <br />separately to pay $53,766 as a fair share of the cost of the signals. <br />Mayor Stangel declared the public hearing open at 7:40 p.m. <br />Don Warren, President, Redwood Shores, Inc., 350 Marine World Parkway and <br />Vice Chairman of the Facilities Fee Committee reported that the matter of <br />inclusion of traffic signal payments in the Facilities Fee Program was <br />discussed at the last meeting and there appears to be full support for it. <br />Mr. Warren strongly recommended that that traffic signal payment be <br />included in the Fee program. <br />Ronald Noyes, J.D.O. Company, developer of Beacon Shores, stated he agreed <br />with the statements made regarding the agreement reached with his company, <br />observing that the shingles will be used on the roof only and adequate <br />fire protection is provided. Mr. Noyes asked that payments for the <br />signals be made in increments as building permits are taken out. <br />City Attorney Schricker confirmed that if the traffic signal payments are <br />not included in the Facilities Fee, then payment may be made on a per <br />permit basis. <br />Mayor Stangel invited anyone else present who wished to speak to do so. <br />No one wished to speak. <br />M /S: Biagi /Mosher to close the public hearing. <br />Carried unanimously by voice vote and public hearing closed at 7:45 p.m. <br />M /S: Biagi /Mosher to accept the staff recommendations with regard to use <br />of pressure treated fire retardant roof shingles and that the payment for <br />traffic signals be referred to the Facility Fee Committee with the <br />developer committed to paying $53,766 as fair share in a form satisfactory <br />to the City Attorney and the Director of Public Works. <br />Carried unanimously by roll call vote.
