Item No. 5 (continued)
Vincent Maggiore, Peninsula Cab Leasing Co., reported he has an applica-
tion on file to provide service in Redwood City, stating that he now
serves Menlo Park, Atherton and Palo Alto from his Mountain View office.
He suggested insurance requirements are too high. It was explained that
applications are not presently before the Council.
Oliver Nordbv, 81 Fairoaks, Atherton, owner of the cab company presently
operating in Redwood City, objected to the section of the proposed ordi-
nance which would make permits not transferable. It was explained that if
permits are to be granted to those who meet the application requirements,
there would be no reason to have transferable permits. Mr. Nordby stated
he favors the proposed insurance requirements.
Title read.
