<br />PUBLIC HEARINGS (continued) <br /> <br />Item No. 3 (contin~ed) <br /> <br />Lucy Bezayiff, 133 G Street, objected to the proposed rezoning of school <br />property, suggesting it may be needed for a grade school in the future. <br />Mr. Gilmore explained that the School District has an obligation to the <br />taxpayers to make the property ready for sale at the best possible price, <br />if and when it is sold. <br /> <br />Michael Rivas, 159 G Street, asked whether it will be possible to protest <br />anything which might be proposed to be constructed on the school site. Legislative Committee Report No. 82-2 <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Stangel, Chairman of the <br />Legislative Committee, presented the subject <br />report. <br /> <br />Councilman Bury reported on recommendations 1. and 2. <br /> <br />Councilman Britschgi reported on recommendations 3., 4. and 5., observing <br />that in 3. the Committee did not make any recommendation with regard to <br />improvement of Highway 92. <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Stangel reported on recommendations 6., 7. and 8., noting that <br />the Committee did not make any recommendation with regard to 7. relating to <br />Hand Gun Control.
