Presentation of Mayor's Gavel and Plaque to <br />former Mayor Mario Biagi <br /> <br />SPECIAL ORDERS OF THE DAY AND PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />Mayor Stangel presented the Mayor's Gavel <br />mounted on a wall plaque to former Mayor <br />Biagi in recognition of his 1980-82 term as <br />Mayor and commended him on his work on behalf <br />of the City. <br /> <br />- ' <br /> <br />Councilman Biagi accepted the plaque, stating <br />he has taken pride in representing the people <br />of Redwood City who care about the community <br />as evidenced by their contributions and <br />support when called upon to help at times of <br />disaster. <br /> <br />------------------------------------------------~------------------------------------------------ <br /> <br />2. Public Hearing - Application for permit to <br />move house from San Jose, California, to <br />vacant property located at 204 Hemlock <br />Avenue, Redwood City (James Cardenas) <br />(Public Hearing closed 5/3/82; item con- <br />tinued pending receipt of staff report) <br /> <br />'~ <br /> <br />Report of City Manager and Building Official <br />6/3/82 <br />Notice of Official Action - Planning <br />Director 5/27/82 <br /> <br />In response to question, Planning Director <br />Schroeter stated that a variance has been <br />granted to make placement of the house more <br />compatible with the neighborhood and that the <br />applicant may now place the house to meet <br />zoning requirements or make use of the <br />variance and place it facing Hemlock Avenue. <br /> <br />M/S: Bury/Biagi to grant the application of <br />James Cardenas for permit to move a house <br />from San Jose, California to vacant property <br />located at 204 Hemlock Avenue and that the <br />house be placed on the lot to face Hemlock <br />Avenue. <br /> <br />Carried unanimously by voice vote. <br />MINUTE ORDER NO. 82-85 <br /> <br />Reg.Mtg. <br />6/7 /82 <br /> <br />. <br />
