Library Board recommendation re appointment to Peninsula Library System Advisory Board Report from Board of Library Trustees 5/28/82 M/S: Bury/Claire to accept the recommenda- tion of the Library Board and appoint Board Member Dorothy Rouse as the City's repre- sentative to the Advisory Board of the Peninsula Library System and that Mayor Stangel write Board Member Charlotte Callis and thank her for serving on the Advisory Board for the past three years. Report re Volunteer Program I Report of City Manager and Human Services Coordinator 6/1/82 , Human Services Coordinator Irizarry reviewed ¡ his report and responded to questions con- i cerning it. In response to question, City Attorney I Schricker advised that the City's liability I insurance would include additional insureds. i I i ¡ M/S: Biagi/Bury to accept the report of the City Manager and Human Services Coordinator of June 1, 1982 and direct the City Manager in conjunction with a Council committee to begin to implement it. Carried unanimously by voice vote. MINUTE ORDER NO. 82-87 Mayor Stangel appointed himself and Council- man Mosher to the Volunteer Program Committee. ------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------ 5. Peninsula New Life Center Report Report of City Manager and Planning Director 6/4/82 Planning Director Schroeter, City Manager Smith and City Attorney Schricker commented and replied to questions concerning details of the report. Councilman Biagi stated for the record that it is his understanding that there is no way the City's tax rating would be affected if the Health Care Revenues Bonds were issued and said he would like to have his under- standing in writing from bond counsel. Stuart Auchincloss, attorney representing the Peninsula New Life Center, stated that con- siderable financial information was provided to staff and t~IO 1 etters were ci rcul ated which he believed responded to Councilman Biagi's request. Mr. Auchincloss commented concerning benefits to the community of the I Center and replied to questions relating to the bond situation and to details relating to the project.
