C. Vice Mayor Pierce — stated that a Council representative is needed on the 2020 <br />Peninsula Gateway Corridor Study Policy Advisory Committee that meets on the <br />second Wednesday of the month at 4:00 p.m. Former Council Member Ira <br />Ruskin sat on the committee prior to his leaving office. <br />9. ADJOURNMENT - 10:00 p.m. <br />M/S Hartnett/Bain to adjourn until the next regular City Council meeting of February <br />14, 2005 in honor of Frank Guida who died over the previous weekend. Council <br />Member Hartnett referred to the honoring of Mr. Guida in 2003 with a proclamation in <br />recognition of40 years of service to the city while coaching Pop Warner Football for <br />that entire period of time. Mr. Guida was nationally recognized for his activities, <br />received the bronze star for valor, Purple Heart and P.O.W. medals for service in <br />WWII. He was involved in Little League Baseball, Redwood City boards and <br />committees and never stopped contributing being named Citizen of the Year in 1999. <br />The motion passed by a unanimous voice vote. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Patricia S.
