1 t/ I 00 - q q - }) 0 I '-Ì ORIGINAL . 06/03/98 , r AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, REDWOOD CITY ELEMENT A,.RY SCHOOL DISTRICT AND SEQUOIA UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT (Redwood City 2000 Commimity A\\'.tfton and Resolllrce Council) THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this- day of 199~, by and between the COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, a political subdivision of the State of California, ("County"); the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a municipal corporation of the State of California, ("City"); REDWOOD CITY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DISTRICT, an elementary school district, ("Elementary School District"); and SEQUOIA UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT, a high school district, ("High School District"); all of which entities are referred to collectively as "the Parties". WITNESSETH: WHEREAS, it is necessary and desirable that the Parties enter into an agreement to establish a Redwood c;ity 2000 Community Action and Resource Council to provide oversight to multiple/collaborative programs designed to improve the health and quality .r of life in Redwood City and to provide a forum for collaborative needs assessment and community planning based on the National Civic League Healthy Communities Model: NOW THEREFORE, IN CONSIDERATION OF THE MUT AL COVENANTS AND CONDITIONS CONTAINED HEREIN, THE PARTIES AGREE AS FOLLOWS: 1. PURPOSE. The Parties are entering into this Agreement for the sole purpose of providing assistance to and allowing the establishment of a. RedwoQd .Ci~ 2000 . "'. .". , " Community Action and Resource Council (the "Community Action and Resource Council"). The Community Action and Resource Council exists for three major purposes: A.
