Inc. <br />Dated: 2/5/99 <br /> <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />FOR <br />ROUTE lOl/RALSTON-MARINE PARKWAY INTERCHANGE PROJECT <br /> <br />General Conditions and Requirements. This project will be subject to the following general <br />conditions and requirements: <br /> <br />0 Consultant will carry out the instructions as received from the City Project Manager, and will <br />cooperate with Caltrans and any others working on the project. <br /> <br />CJ In those instances where Consultant believes a better design or solution to the problem is <br />possible, we will promptly notify the City Project Manager of these concerns, together with <br />the reasons therefore. <br /> <br />CJ The data and plans will be reviewed by the City and Ca1trans staff for conformity with <br />applicable Design Standards, the approved Project Report, and the approved Environmental <br />Document. The responsibility for accuracy and completeness of such items remains solely <br />that of the consultant. <br /> <br />CJ The plans, designs, estimates, calculations, reports, and other documents furnished under this <br />scope of services will be of a quality acceptable to the City and Caltrans. The criteria for <br />acceptance will be a product of neat appearance, well-organized, technically and <br />grammatically correct, and checked with the preparer and checker identified. The minimum <br />standard of appearance, organization and contents of the drawings shall be that of similar <br />types produced by Caltrans. <br /> <br />0 The page identifying preparers of engineering reports, the title sheet for specifications, and <br />each sheet of plans, shall bear the professional seal, certificate number, registration <br />classification, expiration date of the certificate, and signature of the professional engineer(s) <br />responsible for their preparation. <br /> <br />CJ Consultant will establish direct contact with governmental, regulatory, resource agencies, <br />and others for the purpose of obtaining information, expertise, and assistance in developing <br />baseline data and resource inventories. We will maintain a record of all such contacts, and <br />shall transmit copies of those records to the City and State on a regular basis. Formal <br />submittal to regulatory agencies shall only be made after approval of submittal by City staff. <br /> <br />DETAILED SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> <br />Task 1 - Kick-Off Meeting <br /> <br />Task Description. Consultant will meet with the City and Caltrans staff to review the project <br />scope of work, schedule, design standards, PSR/PR, environmental document, and PS&E <br />requirements for the project.
