EXHIBIT "A" Scope of Work General Description of Work This scope of work shall provide for obtaining final concept approval and preparing construction bid documents including plans, technical specifications, general and special provisions, and estimates for the STREET SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS as outlined in the Shores Transportation Improvement District (STID) supplement to the Final Report dated June 10, 1998 and for work added subsequent to the supplement to the final report. The Project is generally defined as the construction of intersection improvements at 4 locations in the Shores Area, including new signal installations, signal modifications and the addition of turn lanes. All work will be administered under the contract with STID, however the Bid Documents (PS&E) will be developed per the requirements and under the oversight of Redwood City. The supplement to the final report identified the following mitigation measures at Locations 2,3, and 6. Location A was added subsequent to the supplement to the final report. Location 2 - Intersection of Marine Parkway and Twin Dolphin Drive . Provide an additional eastbound exclusive right turn lane on Marine Parkway . Modify existing traffic signal Location 3 - Intersection of Marine Parkway and Bridge Parkway . Provide an additional eastbound and westbound exclusive left turn lane on Marine Parkway . Modify existing traffic signal Location 6 - Intersection of Bridge Parkway and Redwood Shores Parkway . Provide an additional northbound exclusive left turn lane on Redwood Shores Parkway . Provide an additional eastbound exclusive right turn lane on Bridge Parkway . Provide an additional westbound exclusive left turn lane on Bridge Parkway . Install a new traffic signal Location A - Marine Parkway Widening (Twin Dolphin Drive to Oracle Parkway East) . Provide a second left turn lane from Marine Parkway into Oracle Parkway . The design for this work was previously prepared by others (Brian Kangas Foulk), and it will be included in this Construction Package as an insert or attachment Included in this Final Design shall be: . The Consultant shall prepare the improvement plans per the STID Final Report prepared for the Cities of Belmont, Redwood City, and San Carlos that identified the necessary intersection construction improvements. The improvements and contract bid documents to be prepared by the Consultant shall correspond to the identified work as outlined above.
