If necessary, the Consultant prepared specifications and special provisions shall include requirements to allow the individual utility companies access to the job site in order to relocate their facilities and to ensure cooperation of the Project's General Contractor. Traffic Signal Svstems - The Consultant shall provide the design and PS&E production for the traffic signal systems along Marine Parkway at Oracle Parkway and Twin Dolphin Parkway. The Consultant shall provide recommended signal timing and coordination with adjoining signalized intersections for the intersection of Ralston Avenue and Hiller Street. Stage Construction and Traffic Handling Plans - The Consultant shall prepare stage construction drawings and the corresponding traffic handling plans for all the required work. The construction staging and traffic handling plans shall be developed to minimize traffic disruption to the public and maintain access to all adjacent properties. If required by the work, traffic handling shall also include any temporary detours. The traffic handling plans shall include detailed design, all required signing and striping, and temporary traffic signal modifications, if required. Landscaoe and Irrigation - The studies and technical work required for this subtask shall be provided by the Consultant and shall be performed by MM Design as a subconsultant to CCS Planning and Engineering. This task will provide landscape design to address the areas impacted by the proposed improvements at the locations described in the "General Description of Work." The Consultant shall meet with the City to address standards, sight distance requirements, and maintenance issues related to landscaping. The landscaping plans shall include plant massing, plant list, typical irrigation layouts, and construction details. Quantities and Estimates - The Consultant shall prepare contract quantities and corresponding construction cost estimates and update them for each submittal. The contract items bid list shall be organized to segregate the work at distinct locations to allow for the determination of costs associated with different funding responsibilities. Final quantity calculations shall be checked and included in the final PS&E package. Included in this sub-task is preparation of the set of design cross-sections by the Consultant, these cross-sections shall not be a part of the bid set of plans, but will be available at the time of bidding. Specifications and Special Provisions - Project specifications and special provisions will be prepared for the project. The Consultant shall incorporate final contract technical specifications, calculated quantities, the "boiler plate" as provided by the City, and contract requirements into the Contract Bid Documents. The project specifications and special provisions shall also include and cover the work done by others (BKF).
