<br />0 RIG I N A L <br /> <br /> DES:dft 1;/19/93 (016/33) <br /> 5/24/93 <br />N O. 11989 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />---------- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF INTENT TO ALLOCATE FUNDS TO CERTAIN <br />PROJECTS RELATING TO SURFACE TRANSPORTATION AND <br />CONGESTION MITIGATION AND AIR QUALITY IMPROVEMENT <br />PROGRAMS WITHIN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has, upon recommendation <br /> <br />of the San Francisco Bay Metropolitan Transportation Commission, <br /> <br />applied <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />federal <br /> <br />funding <br /> <br />from <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />Surface <br /> <br />Transportation <br /> <br />Program and the Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Improvement <br /> <br />Program (collectively, <br /> <br />the "Programs") for roadway and bikeway <br /> <br />projects in the City (the "Project"); and <br />WHEREAS, participation in the Programs requires acknowledg- <br /> <br />ment by this Council that local funds will be allocated to the <br /> <br />Project; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS <br /> <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />This Council hereby acknowledges and declares that: <br /> <br />(a) <br /> <br />Each <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />elements <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />Project <br /> <br />will <br /> <br />be <br /> <br />constructed as described in Exhibit "A" hereof, <br /> <br />attached <br /> <br />hereto, <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />by <br /> <br />this <br /> <br />reference <br /> <br />incorporated herein. <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />This Council will allocate funds to the Project in <br /> <br />an amount or amounts specified in the grant (s) <br /> <br />thereof in accordance with the Programs, <br /> <br />which <br /> <br />allocations <br /> <br />shall <br /> <br />not <br /> <br />exceed <br /> <br />88.5% <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />Project's <br /> <br />costs <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />roadway <br /> <br />components <br />
