No. 4-0902-~ <br /> Document No. SM-4 -65018 <br /> 1 AGREEMENT <br /> <br /> 2 THIS AGREEMENT, ENTERED INTO ON FEBRUARY 13 , 1984, <br />~ is between the STATE O? CALIFORNIA, acting by and through its <br />4 Department of Transportation, referred to herein as STATE, and <br />5 CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> a body politic and a municipal <br />6 corporation of the State of <br /> California, referred to herein <br />? as CITY. <br />8 RECITALS <br />9 (1) STATE and CITY contemplate installing a traffic <br />lO control signal system, safety lighting and channelization at the <br />ll intersection of Charter Street with State Highway Route 82 <br />12 (El Camino Real), referred to herein as "PROJECT", and desire to <br />13 specify the terms and conditions under which such systems are to <br />14 be installed, financed and maintained. <br />15 (2) It is anticipated that Federal-Aid Urban (FAU) <br />16 funds will be allocated for financing approximately 86 percent of <br />17 the construction and construction engineering costs which are <br />18 eligible for Federal-Aid participation, and STATE and CITY will <br />19 bear the remainder of the costs as set forth herein. <br />20 (3) CITY is willing to bear the construction costs of <br />21 PROJECT not borne by FAU funds. <br />22 (4) Additional rights-of-way are required for PROJECT, <br />23 and CITY is willing to furnish at no cost to STATE the additional <br />2~ rights-of-way required for PROJECT and to bear the costs of <br />25 utility protection, relocation or removal, if any. <br /> DUPLICATE ORIGINAL <br /> <br /> <br />
