<br />OR\G\NAl <br /> <br />AMENDMENT NO.1 TO AGREEMENT TO ESTABLISH REDWOOD CITY 2020 <br /> <br />This Amendment No.1 is entered into and effective as of the lL ~ay of <br />~ 1:Y\ Á , 2003, amending the agreement dated July 1, 2002, (the <br />"Ag . ement") by and between the County of San Mateo ("County"), the City of <br />Redwood City, a charter city and municipal corporation ("City"), Redwood City <br />Elementary School District ("Elementary School District"), and Sequoia Union High <br />School District ("High School District"); all of which entities are referred to collectively as <br />"the Parties." <br /> <br />A. <br /> <br />B. <br /> <br />C. <br /> <br />RECITALS <br /> <br />Redwood City 2020 desires to enter into a separate agreement with the <br />John W. Gardner Center ("Gardner Center"), a Stanford-based center <br />supporting communities in youth development research and practice, to <br />facilitate Redwood City 2020's goal of community youth development. <br /> <br />The Parties desire to alter the Agreement's terms regarding the <br />composition of Redwood City 2020's Operations Committee and <br />Coordinating Council in order for the separate agreement to be executed. <br /> <br />The Parties have agreed that the Gardner Center Director will be a <br />member of Redwood City 2020's Operations Committee and participate in <br />the Coordinating Council. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of these recitals and the mutual covenants <br />contained herein, the Parties agree as follows: <br /> <br />1. <br />as follows: <br /> <br />2. <br />as follows: <br /> <br />That Paragraph 4 of the Agreement will be amended in its entirety to read <br /> <br />The RC 2020 Operations Committee is hereby established and <br />shall be composed of the Gardner Center Director and senior staff <br />from each of the funding partners of RC 2020-City of Redwood <br />City, San Mateo County, Redwood City School District and Sequoia <br />Union High School District. <br /> <br />That Paragraph 5 of the Agreement will be amended in its entirety to read <br /> <br />The RC 2020 Coordinating Council is hereby established and shall <br />be composed of the Gardner Center Director and one <br />representative from each of the funding partner's governing Boards <br />(and one alternative member from each of these boards). <br /> <br />F:Atty/Agr/AmendRC2020.1 <br />052903 <br />
