DUPLICATE <br /> ORIG NAL <br /> CALIFORNIA HOUSING FINANCE AGENCY <br /> <br /> HOME O~[NERSHIP AND HOME IMPROVEMENT LOAN PROGRAN (HOHI) <br /> LOCAL GOVERNMENT AGREEMENT <br /> <br /> This LOCAL GOVERNMENT AGREEMENT (the "Agreement") is entered <br /> into by and between the City of Redwood City <br /> (hereinafter "LOCALITY"} and the California Housing Finance <br /> Agency (hereinafter "CHFA"). <br /> <br /> RECITALS <br /> <br /> A. CHFA and LOCALITY wish to institute a program of finan- <br />'cial assistance and provide related services to'assist pez~ons of <br /> low and moderate income to obtain decent, safe and sanitary <br /> housing through the Home Ownership and Home Improvement Program <br /> in Neighborhood Preservation Area(s) ("HOHI Program"). <br /> <br /> B. CHFA has received and reviewed an application submitted <br /> by LOCALITY for designation of (an) area(s) within the LOCALITY <br /> described in Exhibit G as (a) participating Neighborhood Preser- <br /> vation Area(s), and CHFA has agreed to designate such area(s) <br /> ("Commitment Area(s)"). <br /> <br /> Now, therefore, LOCALITY and CHFA agree as follows: <br /> <br /> ARTICLE I - AUTHORIZATION <br /> <br /> This Agreement is entered into pursuant to applicable provi- <br /> sions of the Zenovich-Moscone-Chacon Housing and Home Finance <br /> Act, constituting Division 31 (commencing with Section $0000) of <br /> the Health and Safety Code of the State of California (the <br /> "Act"); and the regulations promulgated with respect to the <br /> operation of the HOHI Program in those areas designated by <br /> resolution of the CHFA pursuant to Chapter Six, Part 3 of the Act <br /> as "Neighborhood Preservation Areas", all agreements, contracts, <br /> commitments, manuals, instruction letters and other documents <br /> pertaining to the HOHI Program (collectively the "Rules and <br /> Regulations.") <br /> <br /> ARTICLE II - APPLICABILITY <br /> <br /> This Agreement shall apply to all types of Neighborhood <br /> Preservation Areas. For LOCALITIES with designated Concentrated <br /> Rehabilitation Area(s) ("CRA's"), Part II covering additional <br /> obligations become part of this Agreement. In LOCALITIES which <br /> have agreed to assist CHFA in providing a Rental Housing Program, <br /> Part III shall become part of this Agreement. The programs to be <br /> included by LOCALITY are checked below and the appropriate Parts <br /> incorporated herein by this reference. <br /> <br /> 8/80 <br /> <br /> <br />
