~,C: JR¢: lg (7) <br /> <br /> BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 099296 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT BE~EN THE COUMTY <br /> O~ SAN ~L~TEO AND THE CITIES OF REDWOOD CITY AND SAN CARLOS AND THE <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA IN CONNECTION WITH THE HOLLY STREET/ROUTE 101 <br /> INTERCI~NGE <br /> <br /> RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State <br /> <br />of California, that <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by the adoption of Section 1680 of the Streets and Highways Code, <br />the Legislature of the State of California has found that the improvement and <br />maintenance of all city streets is of general county interest; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Section 1680 of the Streets and Highways Code, further provides <br /> <br />that the Board of Supervisors of any county may, by resolution adopted by a <br />four-fifths vote of its members, determine that county aid shall be extended <br />for the improvement or maintenance of streets within a city or extending along <br />or across a boundary of a city, in the manner therein set forth; and <br /> <br /> W~EREAS, the California Department of Transportation contemplates the <br />improvement of the Holly Street/Route 101 Interchange in the cities of Redwood <br />City and San Carlos; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, completion of said improvements will result in improved service <br /> <br />for existing traffic; will provide connection for proposed extension of Peninsula <br />Parkway to Holly Street Interchange; will continue staging toward ultimate <br />cloverleaf interchange; and will improve aircraft glide-pattern over roadway; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said improvement is on the San Mateo County Federal-Air Urban <br /> <br />(FAU) System and is to be financed by FAU funds and local ma=thing funds; and <br /> WHERFAS, in order to bring about the earliest possible eompletion of said <br /> <br />improvement, the cities of Redwood City and San Carlos are willing to contribute <br /> <br /> --1-- <br /> <br /> 08 C °G <br /> <br /> <br />
