1 STATE OF CALIFORNIA, <br />2 acting by and through its <br />3 Business and Transportation Agency, <br />~ Department of Transportation, <br />5 hereinafter referred to as "STATE". <br />? WlTNESSETH: <br />8 ~HBREAS, STATE, in August 19S2, entered into Freeway <br />9 ~greements with SAN CARLOS and COUNTY for construction of a <br />10 Route 101 Freeway full four-quadrant cloverleaf interchange at <br />11 ~olly Street in San Carlos, to be built in stages; and <br />12 WHEREAS, the first stage is the existing Holly Street <br />13 Interchange, constructed with a two-loop cloverleaf on the <br />1~ ~asterly side of said Route 101 and diamond-type southbound <br />15 )n-ramp and off-ramp on the westerly side of said Route 101; and <br />16 WHEREAS, the existing two-lane Holly Street Overcrossing <br />17 ~tructure will be the southerly half of the ultimate four-lane <br />18 iivided structure provided for in the original Freeway <br />19 ~greements; and <br />20 WHEREAS, it is proposed to upgrade said existing two-loop <br />[21 ~wo-diagonal configuration to a three-loop four-diagonal design; <br />~2 ~odify the existing intersection of Holly Street with the <br />~ ;outhbound diagonal ramps; realign and extend Holly Street east <br />2~ )f Route 101 and the east frontage roads to conform to local <br />25 ~gency plans and General Plans; install a double 8-foot by 6-foot <br /> <br /> <br />
