<br />'. ~ <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Relocation Assistance Payments will generally be made in a lump sum basis. <br />Prorated payments may be made on a case by case basis, directly to the new <br />landlord or directly to the tenant no later than the first day of each month. <br /> <br />B. <br /> <br />RECAPTURE OF FUND S <br /> <br />The City of Redwood City will recapture funds advanced to pay for relocation costs <br />incurred as a result of enforcing Relocation Ordinance # 2048 by filing a tax lien <br />with the San Mateo County Tax Collector against the subject property. The <br />Finance Director sruill have the responsilill.ittJor initiatin~ a required public <br />hearin~ and ralin~ said tax }ien wit~ays from the date of receipt of a <br />record~bursements from the Housin~ & Redevelopment Division. <br />The Finance Director shall also be responsible for removin~ said lien within 30 <br />~ receipt of payment from the C property owner or from the San Mateo <br />County Tax Collector. The same record of expenditures shall be forwarded to the <br />property owner, against whose property said tax lien shall be filed. <br /> <br />The City Council may require expenditure of funds based on a maximum <br />threshold per building or may authorize the City Manager to approve expenditure <br />of funds to advance relocation payments prior to relocation plans being finalized. <br />Housing and Redevelopment Division would submit estimated costs necessary per <br />building after relocation assessment interviews are completed and claims for <br />payments are made by the tenants.
