<br />DES:djk ;/06/93 (058/34) <br />DES:dft 04/06/93R <br /> <br />guidelines in that there are persons in the City who currently <br /> <br />qualify for residential relocation benefits under Chapter 42 of <br /> <br />the Code of the City of Redwood City but who, in the absence of <br /> <br />implementing regulations, may be deprived of such benefits to the <br /> <br />detriment of their personal health, welfare and security; <br /> <br />that <br /> <br />said <br /> <br />regulations <br /> <br />are <br /> <br />urgently <br /> <br />required <br /> <br />in <br /> <br />order <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />address <br /> <br />immediate needs <br /> <br />for relocation benefits; <br /> <br />that the regulations <br /> <br />hereinafter described are adopted on an interim basis to provide <br /> <br />an opportunity to observe and study the implementation thereof to <br /> <br />determine whether <br /> <br />revisions <br /> <br />or <br /> <br />amendments <br /> <br />thereto may <br /> <br />in <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />future be appropriate. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />The Director of Housing <br /> <br />and Redevelopment <br /> <br />is hereby <br /> <br />authorized and directed to enforce the regulations hereinafter <br /> <br />described and to conduct such studies, surveys or other analyses <br /> <br />as he deems appropriate relating to the application thereof, and <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />prepare <br /> <br />a <br /> <br />report <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />this <br /> <br />Council <br /> <br />with <br /> <br />recommendations <br /> <br />regarding the need for, and nature of, revisions or amendments <br /> <br />thereto. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />Those <br /> <br />certain <br /> <br />regulations <br /> <br />entitled <br /> <br />"City <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />Redwood <br /> <br />City <br /> <br />Relocation <br /> <br />Ordinance <br /> <br />No. <br /> <br />2048 <br /> <br />Implementing <br /> <br />Guidelines", <br /> <br />dated May 11, <br /> <br />1992, <br /> <br />a copy of which is attached hereto, marked <br /> <br />Exhibit <br /> <br />"A", <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />by <br /> <br />this <br /> <br />reference <br /> <br />incorporated <br /> <br />herein, <br /> <br />are <br /> <br />hereby adopted pursuant to the provisions of section 42.10 of the <br /> <br />Code of the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />2 <br />
