'~I' <br /> <br />February 24, 1993 <br /> <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />RELOCATION ORDINANCE NO. # 2048 <br />IMPLEMENTING GUIDELINES <br /> <br />Pursuant to the Relocation Ordinance adopted by the City of Redwood City relating to <br />certain residential relocation benefits for displacement caused by non-residential <br />development and code enforcement, the following process shall be used as implementing <br />guidelines. <br /> <br />Relocation Ordinance # 2048 shall be implemented by the Housing and Redevelopment <br />Director or his/her designee. <br /> <br />PART I <br />APPLICABILITY OF ORDINANCE # 2048 <br /> <br />The Relocation Ordinance shall be triggered when anyone of two conditions are present: <br /> <br />A. <br /> <br />DEMOLITION/CONVERSION FOR NON-RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT <br /> <br />When residential units are demolished or converted to a non-residential use and <br />very low income and low income households are displaced as a result of the <br />development, said low and very low income households shall be entitled to receive <br />economic assistance to minimize the adverse effects of such displacement. <br /> <br />B. <br /> <br />CODE ENFORCEMENT <br /> <br />When the City takes abatement action to condemn residential units which fail to <br />meet decent, safe, and sanitary housing standards and are deemed not habitable for <br />occupancy, any tenant, residing in rental units and are displaced as a result of the <br />City's abatement, shall be entitled to receive economic assistance to minimize the <br />adverse effects of such displacement. <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />-_...~_..._----~....----. <br />
