<br />FXS: dmr <br /> <br />7/29/93 (008/35) <br /> <br />0 RIG I N A L <br /> <br />8/16/93 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />---------- <br /> <br />12043 <br /> <br />APPROVING SUBMITTAL OF APPLICATION FOR HOME INVESTMENT <br />PARTNERSHIPS ACT FUNDS AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION AND <br />FILING OF ALL DOCUMENTS PERTAINING THERETO <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the HOME Investment Partnerships Act of 1990 <br /> <br />(P.L. <br /> <br />101-625; the "Act") provides for the issuance of grants in order <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />attain <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />objective <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />development <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />viable <br /> <br />urban <br /> <br />communities, <br /> <br />by providing decent housing and a suitable living <br /> <br />environment and expending economic opportunities, principally for <br /> <br />persons of low or moderate income; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City of Redwood City desires to promote and <br /> <br />facilitate home owner opportunities for residents of the City of <br /> <br />Redwood City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />it <br /> <br />has <br /> <br />been presented to, <br /> <br />and reviewed by this <br /> <br />Council, an application to the San Mateo County Home Consortium <br /> <br />for a grant under the HOME <br /> <br />Investment Partnerships Act <br /> <br />for a <br /> <br />First Time Home Buyer Program for low income households in the <br /> <br />amount <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />Three <br /> <br />Hundred <br /> <br />Ninety <br /> <br />Thousand <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />No/100 <br /> <br />Dollars <br /> <br />( $ 390 , 000 . 00); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it has been prepared by the Director of Community <br /> <br />Development <br /> <br />a <br /> <br />Notice <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />Determination, <br /> <br />determining <br /> <br />that <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />proposed <br /> <br />First <br /> <br />Time <br /> <br />Home <br /> <br />Buyer <br /> <br />Program, <br /> <br />as <br /> <br />set <br /> <br />forth <br /> <br />in <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />aforesaid application, <br /> <br />is exempt from the requirements of NEPA <br /> <br />and CEQA as a ministerial project and does not have a significant <br /> <br />effect on the environment, and a notice of such determination was <br /> <br />filed with the County Clerk of San Mateo County; and <br /> <br />... -...".-.--.--.-.----..-"..-.------ <br />
