WHEP~EAS, Section 1700 et seq. of the Streets and Highways <br /> Code authorizes this Board of Supervisors of County, by Resolu- <br /> tion adopted by 4/5tbs vote, to declare any highway in the County <br /> lying in whole or in part within a city to be a County highway of <br /> the County for one or more of the following purposes: acquisi- <br /> tion of rights-of-way, construction, maintenance, improvement, or <br /> repair upon consent of the City Council of such city by <br /> Resolution to the establishment thereof; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is necessary and desirable that a portion of <br />Spring Street between Willow Street and Douglas Avenue, and a <br />portion of Douglas Avenue between Middlefield Road and Spring <br />Street, as described in Exhibit "A", and situated within the <br />corporate limits of the City of Redwood City be declared and <br />established as County highways of County for the purpose of <br />improvement and repair; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board a form of <br />Agreement which provides for the resurfacing of portions of <br />Spring Street and Douglas Avenue within the City of Redwood City <br />and payment therefor: <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED as <br />follows: <br /> <br /> 1. That this Board of Supervisors shall, and does <br />hereby, by 4/5tbs vote of its members declare those portions of <br />Spring Street and Douglas Avenue as described in Exhibit "A", and <br />situated within the territory of the City of Redwood City to be <br />County highways of the County of San Mateo for the purpose of <br />resurfacing with asphalt concrete pavement. <br /> <br /> -2- <br /> <br /> <br />
