term of this agreement shall expire upon the expiration of the extended term of the Retrieval Services Agreement. Notwithstanding the foregoing, if the Retrieval Service Agreement is terminated prior to the expiration of its initial or any extended term, as the case may be, this agreement shall terminate and Participating Owner shall thereupon be deemed a non-Participating Owner under the Ordinance, and the exemptions from the provisions of Sections 14.122 and 14.123 of the Ordinance provided hereunder shall likewise terminate, it being the understanding and intent of the parties that the term of this agreement shall run concurrently with the term of the Retrieval Service Agreement. If, however, City shall enter into a succeeding Retrieval Service Agreement, the term of this agreement shall correspond to, and run concurrently with, the term of any such succeeding Agreement. City shall give Participating Owner notice of the effective date of the extension of the, or a succeeding, Retrieval Service Agreement not less than thirty (30) days prior to such date. 14. Substitution of Contractor. City may, at City's discretion, substitute a different contractor under the Retrieval Service Agreement for the Contractor serving thereunder in effect upon the effective date hereof, or enter into a new Retrieval Service Agreement. City shall give Participating Owner notice of such substitution or new agreement not less than fifteen (15) days prior to the effective date thereof. If City shall, for any reason, not enter into a Retrieval Service Agreement with a succeeding Contractor, this agreement shall terminate and City shall so notify Participating Owner. Upon such termination, Participating Owner shall become a non-Participating Owner and shall comply with the provisions of Section 14.122 (Mandatory Plan) of the Ordinance. Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 14.123 of the Ordinance, in such event, Participating Owner shall, as a non-Participating Owner, submit the plan required under Section 14.122 of said Ordinance within thirty (30) days of the date of termination. 15. Amendments, Supplements. This agreement may be amended or supplemented to effectuate its purposes.
