V. IV. COMPENSATION: All services provided by either CDF/County Fire or Redwood City Fire Department under this Agreement shall be performed without monetary compensation. The mutual advantages protections and services afforded by this Agreement are mutually agreed to be adequate compensation to both jurisdictions. Nothing herein, however, shall be deemed to limit the right of either Redwood City Fire Department or CDF/County Fire to seek recovery of expenses and costs under applicable California law. LIABILITY/HOLD HARMLESS: Nothing in the provisions of this Agreement is intended to affect the legal liability of either party to the contract by imposing a standard of care different from the standard of care different from the standard of care imposed by law. Each party shall bear its own exposure for Worker's Compensation on its own personnel while furnished to the other party, or otherwise. Nothing herein, however, shall be deemed to limit the right of the employing jurisdiction or its employees to seek recovery by a civil action for any loss, cost, damages, or medical and attorney fees which arise out of activities under this Agreement and the laws of the State of California relating to Worker's Compensation. It is understood and agreed that neither Redwood City Fire Department, nor any officer or employee thereof, is responsible for any damage or liability, incurred through the sole negligence of CDF incurred by reason of any act or omission by CDF, its officers or employees under or in connection with any work, authority or jurisdiction delegated to CDF under this Agreement. It is also understood and agreed that, pursuant to Government Code Section 895.4, CDF shall fully indemnify and hold harmless Redwood City Fire Department from any damage or liability caused by the sole negligence, incurred by reason of any act or omission by CDF, its officers or employees, under or in connection with any work, authority or jurisdiction delegated to CDF under this Agreement. It is understood and agreed that neither CDF nor any officer or employee thereof, is responsible for any damage or liability incurred through the sole negligence of Redwood City Fire Department incurred by reason of any act or omission by Redwood City Fire Department, its officers or employees, under or in connection with 3 ,._.. ~ .
