APPROACH TO THE PROJECT J

Support for this project will be divided into three separate operations, namely:
Street Marking

City Wide Aerial Photos

GIB Base Map Pilot Area Data.

Task 1 - Street Marking

Based upon our recent experience in pre-marking some 70,000 indicators of
underground utility systems, we estimate that some 1,200 indicators throughout the
pilot area will need pre-marking. Our personnel will utilize white latex paint, thinned
3:1, and will paint the estimated 1,200 indicators utilizing different symbols for specific
categories of indicator.

Task 2 - City Wide Aerial Photos

Sheet centered, black and white aerial photography will be obtained at a nominal
scale of 1'=833', utilizing a Zeiss or Wild, 6' focal length, cartographic camera. Film
will be reviewed for acceptability, indexed, and three sets of contact prints prepared,
for delivery to the City. Segments of individual negatives will then be enlarged to a
nominal scale of 1'--1 bO', based upon the 1986 photo plans, which will be provided
by City personnel, and reproduced as 30' x 42' Mylar Reproducibles.
