<br />\ ORIGINAL <br /> <br />l. <br /> <br />SECOND AMENDMENT TO THE COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT <br />BETWEEN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO <br />FOR PUBLIC USE OF THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO <br />PARKING STRUCTURE AND PARKING lOT <br />lOCATED AT MIDDlEFIElD ROAD AND VETERANS BOULEVARD <br />IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> <br />THIS SECOND ~l]tJDMENT TO T OOPERATIVE AGREEMENT is made and <br />entered into this ~ day of , 2009 (the "Second Amendment"), <br />by and between the County of Sa Mate, a political subdivision of the State of <br />California ("County"), and the City of Re ood City, a charter city and municipal <br />corporation of the State of California (" . y") Uointly, the "Parties" or individually, a <br />"Party"). <br /> <br />THIS SECOND AMENDMENT IS MADE IN liGHT OF THE FOllOWING FACTS: <br /> <br />A. The Parties entered into a certain Cooperative Agreement dated September 23, <br />2003 (the "Cooperative Agreement"). <br /> <br />B. The Parties entered into a First Amendment to the Cooperative Agreement dated <br />May 22, 2007 (the "First Agreement"). <br /> <br />C. The Parties desire to further amend the Cooperative Agreement to reserve for <br />use by the County, for the Office of the Sheriff, three (3) on-street parking stalls <br />on Bradford Street at the entrance to the Brendan McGuire Facility. These <br />parking stalls will facilitate the efficient administration and execution of public <br />safety duties by the Office of the Sheriff thereby ensuring the continued safety of <br />Redwood City and San Mateo County residents. <br /> <br />E. The Parties desire to continue their longstanding history of cooperation and <br />collaboration on projects of mutual benefit by entering into this Second <br />Amendment to the Cooperative Agreement. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, IN CONSIDERATION OF THE MUTUAL COVENANTS <br />AND CONDITIONS CONTAINED HEREIN, the Parties agree as follows: <br /> <br />1. Throughout the term of the Cooperative Agreement, the County, without further <br />consideration to the City, shall have exclusive use of parking spaces A6-07, A6-11 and <br />A6-12, as designated on Exhibit 2A, which is attached hereto and made a part hereof by <br />reference. <br /> <br />1 <br />
