Appeal of a Planned Development Permit at 747 Southview Way; (603) <br /> <br /> Principal Planner Passanisi described the project and showed various slides to <br /> explain the project. <br /> <br /> Mayor Claire opened the public hearing. <br /> <br /> Dale Koop stated that some of the zoning plan requirements have been met; <br /> however, there are many that have not been met. He pointed out that an <br /> environmental impact report was not provided to address issues involving the <br /> underground spring, water drainage and runoff; and that the lot line adjustment <br /> was not approved by the San Mateo County Board, but is scheduled for <br /> consideration on July 17. He stated it is premature to approve the project until this <br /> necessary lot line issue is concluded. Other concerns brought up by Mr. Koop <br /> included those related to roadway widening beyond the current roadway and the <br /> size of the proposed house in relation to the area. <br /> <br /> Phil Leadbetter stated that he and his family have lived on Southview and have <br /> maintained the street for 30 years. He stated that the road must be widened or <br /> maintained in such a way that ambulance and fire service is available. He further <br /> stated there is currently a bottleneck and overgrown brush in the area and that the <br /> residents should not pay the road. <br /> <br /> Fred Herring, Project Architect of the project, detailed the process that had been <br /> followed. He stated the house will not seem any larger than other houses in the <br /> area because it is very carefully related to the ground.
