EXHIBIT "A"

SCOPE OF SERVICES

AAM DESIGN, INC.
Landscape Architectural Services for
WOODSIDE ROAD, Redwood City, CA

DESIGN APPROACH

The landscape design solution for improvements to the existing median islands will
satisfy the City's stated requirements, which include the following: 1. Reduce
potential risk to maintenance personnel by removing all turf planting, and by
eliminating planting and irrigation within all narrow median strips; 2. Update irrigation
components and further automate the irrigation control system; 3. Minimize or
eliminate irrigation water contact with the street; and 4. Improve areas where
decorative paving "patches" are mismatched. The selection and layout of
replacement planting, irrigation, and decorative paving will comply with the
standards and requirements of the City and Caltrans. Care will be taken to avoid
creating sight distance problems, safety issues, and high maintenance or high water
demands.

SCOPE OF WORK

Limit of Work: Existing median islands located between Alameda de las Pulgas and
Locust Street.

A.

Project Start-up

1.
