<br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />AGREEMENT <br /> <br />FOR <br /> <br />PERSONAL SERVICES <br /> <br />ill- <br />THIS AGREEMENT, entered into this ~ day of April, 1999 between the PENINSULA SPORTS <br /> <br />OFFICIALS ASSOCIATION hereinafter called "Association", and the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a municipal <br /> <br />corporation of the State of California, hereinafter call "City"; <br /> <br />WITNESSETH: <br /> <br />IN CONSIDERATION of the mutual covenants, agreements and conditions contained herein, the <br />undersigned do agree as follows: <br /> <br />1. Association agrees to furnish diligently and faithfully the following services to City, commencing on <br /> <br />April 12, 1998, and terminating on August 8,1999: <br /> <br />(a) The training, selection and scheduling of umpires for all softball games in the following leagues <br /> <br />(figures in parentheses represent number of games): <br /> <br />1. C-6 (48) 1 (3 playoffs) <br />2. C-7 (42)/(3playoffs) <br />3. D-2 (48) 1 (3 playoffs) <br />4. C-5 (48) 1 (3 playoffs) <br />5. WC-2 (48) 1 (3 playoffs) <br />6. C-9 (48) 1 (3 playoffs) <br />7. C-8 (42) 1(3 playoffs) <br />8. WC-l (42) 1 (3 playoffs) <br />9. D-3 (48) 1 (3 playoffs) <br /> <br />10. Co-Ed (36) 1 (3 playoffs) <br />11 C-3 (42) 1 (3 playoffs) <br />12. C-4 (42) 1 (3 playoffs) <br />13. D-4 (48) 1 (3 playoffs) <br />14. D-5 (42) 1 (3 playoffs) <br /> <br />15. Make Up <br /> <br />(12) <br /> <br />TOTAL: 636 League Games + 42 Playoffs <br /> <br />(b) The supervision of necessary personnel to officiate at the above mentioned softball games, and services <br /> <br />related and incidental thereto, including such additional services as may be prescribed by the City Manager. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />In the performance of such work, it is expressly understood that Association is an independent <br /> <br />contractor and shall not be considered to be an employee of City for any purpose. <br /> <br />3. It is understood that the purpose of this contract is to facilitate and to provide a convenient means for the <br /> <br />administration of the individual activities of Association's members, and for the disbursement of by City to <br /> <br />individual members of Association for the mutual benefit of the parties hereto. Therefore, no monetary <br /> <br />consideration shall be payable to Association for Association's services rendered hereunder except the sum of Two <br /> <br />Hundred and 00/100 Dollars ($200.00) for administrative services. <br /> <br />,-_.
