<br />fltlGM <br /> <br />AGREEMENT <br /> <br />COST SHARING AGREEMENT FOR THE MAINTENANCE PAVING OF <br />OAK KNOLL DRIVE BETWEEN SUMMIT DRIVE AND HILLSIDE ROAD <br />IN THE REDWOOD CITY AREA <br /> <br />'- ~~ ~ <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this ~ day of , 199 ,by <br />and between the COU NTY OF SAN MATEO, a pol itical subd vision the S: of <br />California, hereinafter called "County," and the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a municipal <br />corporation of the State of California, hereinafter called "City." <br /> <br />WITNESSETH: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City and the County are desirous to improve the street condition <br />of Oak Knoll Drive between Hillside Road and Summit Drive; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City and the County share the ownership of this street in equal <br />proportions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City and the County agree that the City shall act as the lead agency <br />in the preparation of plans, specifications and related documents for the roadway <br />maintenance of Oak Knoll Road and the coordination of all related construction work; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City has developed a maintenance program to treat unimproved <br />roads such as Oak Knoll Road and others in the vicinity with a rubberized cape seal; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the full scope of work for this agreement shall include the City's <br />preparation work to the existing road surface, the Rubberized chip seal treatment, the <br />slurry seal treatment, the raising of the necessary water valve boxes, sewer manholes, and <br />street monuments to grade; and the installation of new traffic stripping and lane <br />delineation; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City will perform preliminary roadway maintenance work with City <br />staff and the remainder of the roadway maintenance work by Contractor; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS AGREED AS FOllOWS: <br /> <br />1. The City will include in its scope of work for the above described <br />project the provisions for raising of the necessary water valve boxes, sewer manholes, and <br />street monuments to grade; and the installation of new traffic stripping and lane delineation <br />for the said portion of Oak Knoll Drive between Hillside Road and Summit Drive. <br /> <br />G mIwpwi nIstreetsigroadsrowlCo - ag reeme nt1 <br /> <br />page 1 of 3 <br />
