��• 3� <br /> If the Mazshall Gazage permit area becomes fully utilized in the future, then staff will explore the <br /> possibility of expanding the number of permits offered in other areas. <br /> It is also recommended that rates be increased slightly, to $30 per month for the Marshall Garage <br /> permit area and $25 per month for the Main Street Lot, Middlefield Lot, Winslow Lot, and the <br /> Perry Lot. These parking lots should be open to the general public and metered. <br /> All pe�mits should work from Monday through Friday, from the l0am to 7pm, after which time <br /> the market-rate must be paid. In the evenings and on the weekends there will be ample peripheral <br /> parking areas which will be free for employees, and all off street areas (except for the Jefferson <br /> Garage, Marshall Garage, and the Middlefield Lot), will be inexpensive and free of time limits <br /> and thus available for employee parking. <br /> Staff is also considering converting the City Hall employee parking lot (at Jefferson and <br /> Middlefield, next to the library) to metered operation, and allowing the general public to pazk in <br /> spaces unoccupied by City staff. This will relieve some of the parking congestion in the Library <br /> Lot while discouraging Cinema patrons from using the lot, which would be a serious problem if <br /> the lot was to remain free. <br /> Proposed pernut areas are shown in Figure 10. <br /> page 32 <br />
