Call to Order <br />The meeting was called to order by Chair Montalvo at 7:04 PM. <br /> <br />2. Roll Call <br />Staff Member Avila called roll. <br />Present: Chair Montalvo, Committee Members Hiester, Madigan, and Piazza <br /> <br />Absent: Vice Chair Miller, Committee Member Becker <br /> <br />Staff Members Present: Avila, Turner <br /> <br />3. Approval of Minutes <br />None <br /> <br />4. Public Comment <br />None <br /> <br />5. Public Hearing <br />5.a. Consolidated Annual Performance & Evaluation Report (CAPER) Fiscal Year 2016- <br />2017 <br /> <br />Staff Member Avila provided a background on the Fiscal Year 2016-2017 Action Plan. She <br />presented an overview of the accomplishments of that action plan. She stated that the <br />highest priority in the Consolidated Plan is housing. The City provided CDBG or HOME <br />funding to Habitat for Humanity, HIP Housing, Rebuilding Together, and various other <br />organizations providing services to Redwood City residents. She stated that funding was also <br />provided to Star Vista, LifeMoves, Samarita House, Mental Health Service and more to assist <br />with homelessness and domestic abuse for residents in Redwood City. She provided <br />demographic information regarding who was served by these resources. She stated that she <br />would send this report to the committee. She stated that HUD requires the city to hold a <br />Public Hearing on the annual report. She stated the report must be submitted by September <br />30. She stated that tonight will conclude the 30-day comment period on the draft report. <br /> <br />Chair Montalvo asked how many groups did not meet their annual goals. <br /> <br />Staff Member Avila stated that only four did not meet their annual goals. She stated that <br />every year they require these organizations to set annual goals for the number of individuals
