<br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />Senior Deputy Clerk (Continued) <br /> <br />QUALIFICATIONS <br /> <br />Knowledge of: <br /> <br />Proper legal and administrative requirements. procedures. rules. and <br />regulations relating to municipal recordkeeping. public disclosure. <br />risk management. and elections. <br /> <br />Efficient office methods and processes such as filing. indexing. <br />work distribution. and records retrieval. <br /> <br />Proper English usage. spelling. punctuation. and grammar. <br /> <br />Modern office equipment used for recording. indexing. filing. and <br />retrieving records. <br /> <br />Ab il ity to: <br /> <br />Maintain and retrieve records in a responsive. efficient manner. <br /> <br />Take shorthand at a speed necessary for ade~uate job performance. <br />Type accurately at a speed of not less than 60 words per minute. <br /> <br />Independently compose correspondence and public hearing notices. <br />Operation of a word processor computer terminal may be required. <br /> <br />Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other <br />City personnel and the general public. <br /> <br />Provide municipally-recorded information in a timely manner. <br /> <br />Meet appropriate physical demands necessary for adequate job <br />performance. <br /> <br />Experience and Education <br /> <br />Any combination equivalent to experience and education that could <br />likely provide the required knowledge and abilities would be <br />qualifying.
