<br />EXHIBIT "A" <br /> <br />SCOPE OF WORK: ROUTE 84 (WOODSIDE ROAD) WIDENING <br /> <br />Mark Thomas & Co. Inc. will perfonn all tasks in accordance with the City of Redwood <br />City requirements and will follow Caltrans and regulatory agency procedures. All work <br />reports and documents subject to review and approval of Caltrans will follow Caltrans' <br />current policies, guidelines, and procedures. <br /> <br />PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, AND ESTIMATE <br /> <br />The basis of the design for the widening and improvements of Woodside Road will be the <br />Combined Project Study Report/Project Report, Geometric Approval Drawing, and Fact <br />Sheet for Route 84 (Woodside Road) as approved Caltrans. The plans, specifications and <br />estimate (PS&E) will be submitted for concurrent review by the City of Redwood City <br />and Caltrans at the 35%,65%, 95% and 100% level. Included during this phase of work <br />are the design surveys, geotechnical investigation and reports, right of way engineering, <br />aerially deposited lead testing and report, Phase II testing for hazardous materials, <br />potholing and locating existing underground utilities, and coordination with utility <br />companies for utility relocations. <br /> <br />ProJect Management <br /> <br />MTCo will attend monthly meetings as necessary with the City and Caltrans in order to <br />maintain the project schedule, identify trends and issues, seek resolution of any design <br />issues, and insure that the plans are in confonnance with Caltrans standards. This task <br />includes the preparation of trends meeting agenda, meeting minutes, and coordination of <br />the design effort with MTCo's subconsultants. <br /> <br />GPS Survey-Report <br /> <br />GPS surveys will be perfonned to establish horizontal and vertical control for <br />establishing the existing right of way and setting the control line and the location of <br />existing monumentation. All work will be perfonned to meet Caltrans current standards. <br />GPS work will be at least second order or better. A Draft report of the GPS Survey and <br />level run will be produced and submitted to Caltrans for their review. Caltrans' review <br />comments will be incorporated and a Final GPS Report will be submitted to Caltrans. <br /> <br />Right-of Way Engineering <br /> <br />MTCo will provide right of way engineering servIces in compliance with Caltrans <br />District 4 current requirements as follows: <br /> <br />0 Hardcopy Maps will be prepared showing the existing and proposed right of way, and <br />the control line for Woodside Road. The existing right of way lines will based on <br />Caltrans' record maps, MTCo field surveys, and preliminary title reports.
