<br />FL1NDING AGREEMENT <br /> <br />This Funding Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into this 28 day of Sef'¡'embe~, <br /> <br />1998, by and betWeen San Mateo County Transportation Authority, a public agency <br /> <br />(" Authority"), and the City of Redwood City, a municipal corporation ("City"). <br /> <br />RECITALS <br /> <br />A. The voters of San Mateo County, pursuant to the provision of the Bay Area County <br /> <br />Traffic and Transportation Funding Act, Public Utilities Code Section 131100 et seq., <br /> <br />authorized a sales tax increase ("Measure A Funds") to fInance a Transportation Expenditure <br /> <br />Plan in San Mateo County and the creation of the Authority to administer the plan. <br /> <br />B. City desires to arrange for preparation of a Project Study Report ("Project") <br /> <br />analyzing the feasibility of adding one lane in each direction of travel on Woodside Road <br /> <br />betWeen EI Camino Real and Broadway in the City, resulting in a six-lane roadway at this <br /> <br />location, as said Project is further described in Exhibit A attached hereto. <br /> <br />C. Preparation of the Project Study Report is consistent with the Transportation <br /> <br />Expenditure Plan of San Mateo County and therefore eligible for Measure A funds from the <br /> <br />Authority . <br /> <br />D.
