We anticipate that a single RFP could be issued to prospective vendors who would act as a prime contractor for all software and services. By use of the RFP, the City would achieve the benefits of formalizing the vendor's response in a competitive environment. The RFP would be developed in accordance with City purchasing guidelines and requirements. The Request for Proposal \\'ollld provide the companies with uniform "ground rules" on which to prepare their proposals. Thc IŒP would include the following information: . Project overview and background Description of proposed systems Description of proposed procurement requirements (integration and other services to be provided) Specinc vendor response requirements in the areas of: Comparable sitc experience System and technology architccture Software interl~lCC capabilities Adherence to industry standards V endor support capabilities Other information as needed . . .
