<br />~ <br /> <br />EXHIBIT A <br /> <br />11-15-97 <br /> <br />Parks, Recreation & Community Services <br />City of Redwood City <br />1400 Roosevelt Ave. <br />Redwood City, CA 94061 <br />aUn: Mr. Mike Gibbons <br /> <br />SUBJECT: PROPOSAL FOR ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES HERKNER AND <br />HOOVER POOLS RENOVATIONS <br /> <br />Dear Mike: <br /> <br />I am pleased to provide this Proposal for Architectural Services for the construction <br />documents, bid phase and construction phase for renovations to both Herkner and <br />Hoover Pools. <br /> <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES: <br /> <br />Our scope of work wUl be to provide complete construction drawings, estimates and bid <br />documents including specifications, for the Herkner and Hoover pools renovation <br />project. We will also assist you in bidding the project and in providing Construction <br />Support Services. This work does not include any work on the Herkner pool building <br />nor any mechanical work on the pool equipment for either pool. <br /> <br />We further understand that we are to provide the drawings and specifications for the <br />pool renovation work separate from Hoover Pool bath house building drawings, so that <br />the project may be bid in two separate packages to two separate contractors-the pool <br />work to pool specialist contractors, and the building to General Building Contractors. <br /> <br />We understand that the City will hire or assign a person to act as on-site construction <br />manager during the Construction phase, and that our work will be limited to standard <br />contract support work including review of shop drawings, occasional site visits and <br />meetings, change orders, review of pay requests and other standard services-we will <br />not provide exhaustive meeting notes or full time on-site representation. <br /> <br />We also understand that we are to prepare the technical specification sections only, and <br />that the City will provide the "front end" bidding requirements, wage rates, bid <br />instructions, general conditions, and will assemble the final bid documents and arrange <br />for printing and distribution. <br /> <br />. -~---- ...-- 'r' <br />
