<br />ARTICLE 13 <br /> <br />CN (Neighborhood Commercial) DISTRICT <br /> <br />Section 13.1 Purpose. To provide centers for convenience <br />shopping in the residential neighborhood planned and controlled to <br />the extent that such centers will perform a vital service to the <br />neighborhoods and become integral parts thereof. <br /> <br />Section 13.2 Permitted Uses. The following uses are permitted <br />in the CN District if conducted entirely within a building: <br /> <br />~e. <br />f. <br /> <br />a. Grocery, reta i1 bakery sales, drug, variety, or hardware <br /> stores. <br />b. Beauty, barber, shoe, gift, stationery, record, toy, or <br /> flower shops. <br /> <br />c. <br /> <br />Banks and business or professional offices~ <br /> <br />Soda fountains and restaurants, not including live <br />entertainment, dancing, or sale of liquor, beer, or other <br />alcoholic beverages for consumption on the premises. <br /> <br />d. <br /> <br />Studios for arts, crafts, photography, music, and dance. <br />Parking garages for customer and employee parking only. <br /> <br />g. <br /> <br />Family Day Care Homes within residential structures. <br /> <br />(Section. 13.2 amended by Ordinance No. 1130.28, effective 8-23-65, by <br />Ordinance No. 1130.41, effective 3-9-66, by Ordinance No. 1130-241, <br />effective 7-17-85, and by Ordinance No. 1130.275,'effective 2-27-91.) ) <br /> <br />Section 13.3 Accessory Uses. The following structures and uses <br />are permitted in the CN District when accessory to uses permitted under <br />Sections 13.2 and 13.4: ' <br /> <br />a. <br /> <br />Accessory uses and structures customarily appurtenant to <br />a permitted use. <br /> <br />Day Care Centers if the facilities are in conjunction with <br />adjoining businesses and primarily serve the employees of <br />such businesses. ' <br /> <br />b. <br /> <br />(Section 13.3 amended by Ordinance No. 1130.275, effective 2-17-91.) <br /> <br />Section 13.4 Conditional Uses.
