<br />The Engineer's Estimate for the project (which was designed by City staff) is $56,000. <br />A complete copy of the Contract Documents is available for review in the Engineering <br />and Construction office. <br /> <br />The bid opening was held on January 4, 2000, in the office of the City Clerk. Golden Bay Fence Plus Iron Works, Inc. - San Lorenzo, CA $75,000.00 <br /> Average (dropping the high and low bidder) $67,511.00 <br /> Engineer's Estimate ........................ $56,000 <br /> <br />The bid from u.S. Metal of Oakland, California, with a base bid of $51,950, appears to <br />be the lowest responsible bid. <br /> <br />A complete copy of the agreement is available for review in the City Clerk's office. <br /> <br />Alternatives <br />1. Award the contract and install the gates and fences, and continue negotiations with <br />U~S. Fish & WIldlife Service and the Sequoia Audubon Society. The gates can be <br />kept open during negotiations. <br /> <br />2.
