<br />~ 'J)8 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE 1999-2000 TREE <br />PRESERVATION AND SIDEWALK REPAIR PROGRAM; <br />AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID <br />WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No.13699, adopted August 23, 1999, <br /> <br />the City Clerk advertised for bids for the 1999-2000 Tree Preservation and <br /> <br />Sidewalk Repair Program, Redwood City, California; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement, five bids were received for <br /> <br />the performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, J. W. Riley & Son, Inc. of Emeryville, California is the lowest <br /> <br />responsible bidder, and it is the intention and desire of this Council to award <br /> <br />said bid to J.W. Riley & Son, Inc.; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of J. W.
