<br />~'\~ <br /> <br /> <br />BAY AREA <br />RIDGE TRAIL <br />COUNCIL <br /> <br />March 8, 1999 <br /> <br />The Honorable Michael Di Giorgio <br />City ofNovato <br />900 Shennan Avenue <br />Novato, CA 94945 <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Mayor, <br /> <br />The Marin County Committee of the Bay Area Ridge Trail Council wishes to lend its <br />support to the grant application by the City of Nova to for planning the route of the Bay <br />Trail through the fonner Hamilton Air Force Base. <br /> <br />The Bay Area Ridge Trail and the Bay Trail will each someday surround San Francisco <br />Bay, with the Ridge Trail mostly on the heights overlooJång the Bay and the Bay Trail at <br />water level. In many locations it is planned that connector trails will join the two <br />networks and in a few places the two trails will follow the same. route.
