These programs are in addition to <br />our work with the Middle School Youth Sports Programs, Skyhawks Camps, Daycamp, Teen <br />Programs, the Youth Advisory Council, Red Morton Center Teen Center, Tiny Tots Pre-school <br />program, Kids Klub Before and After School Day Care Program, and numerous other special event <br />programs. The following information is provided to: <br /> <br />Give background on new programs developed over the last two years that are occurring on <br />school sites or other non recreation facilities, <br /> <br />Give basic information on program costs, <br />Give information on future programming opportunities with the Redwood City School District. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />Garfield Charter School-The Youth and Teen (Y&T) Unit receives $15,255.00 from the <br />school to operate an on-site after school enrichment program serving approximately 35 <br />children. The program is held in the school's multipurpose room and has been operating <br />since 1998. A Recreation Specialist and one Recreation Leader staff the program. <br /> <br />Schaberg Library - The Y&T Unit provides recreation leaders at the branch to help keep <br />youngsters who would otherwise congregate at the facility unsupervised in structured activities. <br />The approximate annual direct cost is $7,344.00 which pays for 2 recreation leaders. The <br />program runs from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. M-F and predominantly serves youngsters from nearby <br />Roosevelt School. <br /> <br />. Page 1 <br /> <br />'-"'T <br />
