To obtain even an approximate cost requires us to provide the consultant <br />with a reasonable scope of the desired audit. The best approximation that we have available at this <br />time is the Police Department staffing study, which was perfonned in 1997 at a cost of $40,000. This is <br />probably a fair comparison given the similar nature of the proposed management lcost savings audits. <br />If the City is considering having such an audit perfonned in FY 2000101 I recommend that $50,000 to <br />$60,000 be included for each audit that is contemplated. <br /> <br />.~""'."--"'1r. <br />
