<br />.1., <br /> <br />Salvation Army's JYNS and WAGES applied for funding under the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) <br />Program. The requests for funding were well above the amount of CDBG funding available. The Committee felt that <br />these two programs were important for the community and so chose to recommend funding under HSFA. <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />The Human Services Financial Assistance Program is funded with General fund dollars. The total recommended amount, <br />$239,000, is in the City Manager's proposed budget for fiscal year 2000/2001. <br /> <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />Council could chose to change the recommendations of the Housing and Human Concerns Committee. <br /> <br />SUMMARY <br />A binder of information including the Housing and Human Concerns Committee recommendations, a summary description <br />of the agencies, and the actual proposals submitted to the 1999/2000 HSFA Program was distributed with your April 24th <br />Council packet. <br /> <br />The Housing and Human Concerns Committee is forwarding the above listed funding recommendations based on their <br />careful review and deliberation of this material.
