<br />5t:;)-' , <br /> <br />REPORT <br /> <br />To the Redevelopment Agency <br /> <br />May 8,2000 <br /> <br />Subject <br />Contract with William Euphrat Municipal Finance Inc., <br /> <br />Recommendation <br />It is recommended that the City Council approve by resolution an agreement with William <br />Euphrat Municipal Finance Inc., for financial advisory services associated with the <br />proposed downtown parking structure. <br /> <br />Background <br />William Euphrat Municipal Finance Inc., is a financial advisory firm that specializes in <br />assisting public entities with the formation of assessment districts and the bond issuance <br />process. The firms principal, Bill Euphrat is well known to the Council and has recently <br />assisted the City with: <br /> <br />1. Issuance of the City Hall Certificate of Participation <br />2. The Seaport Boulevard and Seaport Center refunding <br /> <br />In addition, Mr. Euphrat is currently assisting the City with the Redwood Shores Traffic <br />Improvement district and the Pacific Shores Assessment district bond issues. <br /> <br />Mr. Euphrat will assist staff in the structuring of this financing by developing the basic terms <br />of the offering, including security issues and all marketing features. <br /> <br />Fiscal Impact <br />The fee for services is $42,000, payment contingent upon successful sale and closing of <br />bonds or other securities. <br /> <br />I <br />ï-~~#~ <br /> <br />Michael Church <br />Executive Director <br /> <br />:{¿U. <br /> <br /> <br />City Manager <br /> <br />Attachment <br />1.
