<br />'1M-S <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING PURCHASE OF 4 USED <br />PASSENGER VEHICLES FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT AND <br />1 USED PASSENGER VAN FOR THE VETERANS MEMORIAL <br />CENTER AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF PURCHASE <br />DOCUMENTS IN CONNECTION THEREWITH <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2.76 of the Redwood City Code, this <br /> <br />Council has suspended the requirements of Article VII of Chapter 2 of the Code <br /> <br />of the City of Redwood City relating to competitive bidding for the hereinafter <br /> <br />described purchase; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Police Department requires the acquisition of four (4) <br /> <br />used passenger vehicles for undercover law enforcement purposes and the <br /> <br />Veterans Memorial Center requires the acquisition of one (1) passenger van for <br /> <br />senior citizen pick-up and drop-off services; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council desires to approve the purchase of said used <br /> <br />passenger vehicles and van in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Twenty <br /> <br />Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($120,000.00); <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> <br />CITY, AS FOllOWS: <br /> <br />1.
