<br />'1 M-2- <br /> <br />Representatives from Public Works Services and the Police Department visited several used car <br />lots and evaluated different makes and models of vehicles, which meet the Police Department's <br />needs. Staff concludes that Hertz Used Car Sales offers several benefits over the others: <br /> <br />. Savings by up to $25,000 for five used vehicles compared to the cost of new vehicles. <br />. Offers special "multiple purchase" discounts to government fleet agencies. <br />. Have the widest selection of one-year-old vehicles. <br />. Come with a factory warranty plan. <br />. Been professionally maintained. <br /> <br />In order to take advantage of these benefits, the purchasing agency must have pre-authorized <br />purchasing ability and be able to conclude a deal the same day the desired vehicles are available. <br /> <br />Alternative <br />Direct staff to prepare specifications and purchase new vehicles.
