<br />l1N-1- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br />OF PURCHASE DOCUMENTS FOR THE PURCHASE AND <br />REPAIR OF 100' AERIAL LADDER TRUCK #8117 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Redwood City Code Section <br /> <br />2.76 this Council has suspended by motion the requirements of Article VII <br /> <br />("Purchasing") of Chapter 2 of said Code relating to bidding requirements for <br /> <br />purchase of supplies and materials with respect to the provision of repairs and <br /> <br />materials for an aerial ladder truck; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Fire Department requires the flytip (25 foot end section of <br /> <br />the ladder) to be replaced; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council desires to approve the purchase and <br /> <br />replacement of said flytip of aerial ladder truck #8117 from Allstar Fire Equipment <br /> <br />Inc. of Arcadia, California in an amount not to exceed Twenty-three Thousand <br /> <br />Five Hundred Ninety-four and 29/100 ($23,594.29) for said purchase and repair; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCil OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> <br />CITY, AS FOllOWS: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />This Council hereby confirms that, pursuant to the provisions of <br /> <br />Redwood City Code Section 2.76 the bidding requirements of Article VII <br /> <br />(Purchasing) of Chapter 2 of the Code of the City of Redwood City have been <br /> <br />suspended with respect to the hereinafter described purchase on the ground that <br /> <br />the materials, equipment or supplies to be purchased are of a unique nature and <br />
