Jerry Schnell, RC Building Inspector, Mr. Schnell said that according to the Uniform Building Code an efficiency unit is required to have 220 square feet and an efficiency unit is just a studio for two individuals. If you have a third person, you need to add another 100 square feet so it will be 300 square feet for three people. Commissioner Sanfilipo asked Mr. Schnell what staff was doing right now to enforce the ordinance and regulations that are in place. Mr. Schnell said that there is a new Administrative citation process in place and the City has four Code Enforcement officers working on code violations.
